“We ⁣will be increasing the number⁤ of ⁢rehabilitation centers,” Lyngdoh stated. “We are working on ⁣the proposals to have at⁣ least an additional 15 more centers by 2025.”

The minister​ highlighted the government’s ongoing support for existing rehabilitation initiatives. “We have been able to fund rehabilitation​ centers run by the churches adn⁤ private institutions,” he explained. “We have been able to fund them either partially or fully, so it’s⁤ not as if ⁣we have left‌ them⁤ to tackle the ​issue on their own.”

Currently,the‌ government provides funding to nine privately-run‌ rehabilitation centers. Lyngdoh acknowledged ‍that further action is needed to effectively address the‍ drug addiction crisis.”Certainly, the situation needs further improvement, and we⁤ will ‍certainly⁢ increase at least⁢ 15 more ⁣by 2025,” he added.
