Swan & Lion is a shop famous for its meat pies. Wanting to let people know about authentic, delicious meat pies, British owner Ian Gibbins launched the brand in 2013 and has been offering and selling them in Ichigaya since 2015.

In Ichigaya, the main activities were retail sales, catering, pop-up events, and online shopping, but after relocating, it has been reborn as a cafe and dining bar.

“Swan & Lion” is a restaurant based on the concept of “modern British” where you can enjoy authentic British cuisine and alcoholic beverages.

The term “Great Britain” is actually the United Kingdom (UK) consisting of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, each with its own culture, history, and language. England is probably what Japanese people generally imagine.

London, the capital of the United Kingdom (England), has a flourishing food culture, where you can enjoy not only traditional British cuisine but also food from all over the world, including Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Italian, and French cuisine.

Swan & Lion offers a modern twist on classic British flavors, allowing you to enjoy authentic dishes such as the delicious classic meat pie, as well as fish and chips, roast pork, and Yorkshire pudding.

You can bring your dog to the terrace seats at “Swan & Lion”

When I passed by the restaurant, it had not yet opened and it was a rainy day so the terrace seating was not set up, but it appears there are tables and chairs in front of the entrance where you can enjoy meals and drinks.

Dogs are allowed on the terrace, so you can drop in for a coffee or beer during your walk.

The overwhelming majority of beers consumed in the UK are beers, which tend to be richer, heavier and more bitter than German beers.

The Swan & Lion has a British pub-like atmosphere, where you can relax and enjoy a beer while chatting like the British do.

After the restaurant opened, a new wooden deck was added to the terrace. We recommend this seating area for those with dogs.

It will soon get cooler and it will be a pleasant season to enjoy sandwiches here.

I haven’t been to either of these stores yet, so I’d like to go there sometime soon.
