Megyn Kelly Slams Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour Role: A feud Rekindled

Megyn Kelly is taking issue with Beyoncé’s use of her image in the Cowboy Carter tour visuals. The political commentator claims the superstar is unfairly portraying herself as a victim.
Kelly addressed the situation on The Megyn Kelly Show, stating she recently realized Beyoncé is using footage of her during the tour. Kelly criticized Beyoncé, referring to her as one of the “moast privileged, beloved women in the world,” and suggested she is exaggerating any perceived grievance over Kelly’s comments about her venture into country music.
Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour supports her billboard 200-topping album, which explores her passion for country music. The album features collaborations with Willie Nelson and Dolly Parton. A blurred clip of Kelly criticizing Beyoncé’s “big toe” in country music is shown during the concerts.
The inclusion of the clip highlights the initial criticism Beyoncé faced when she released Cowboy Carter in March 2024.despite some industry resistance, the album has been a success. Beyoncé became the first black woman to top the Hot Country Songs chart with “Texas Hold ‘Em.” At the 2025 Grammys,Cowboy Carter won album of the year and best country album.
Kelly, however, remains critical. “She and her marketing people were treating that entry [into country music] like the second coming,” Kelly said. “‘All hail Queen Bey, she’s here to rescue country music,’ which was a perfectly thriving industry long before Beyoncé showed up.”
Beyoncé’s cowboy Carter tour continues with upcoming shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, starting June 5. Her five-night engagement at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif., grossed $55.7 million with 217,000 tickets sold, marking the highest-grossing single-venue engagement reported to Billboard Boxscore so far in 2025.
this isn’t the first visual controversy surrounding the Cowboy Carter tour. In May, James Dolan, CEO of Sphere entertainment Co., sent Beyoncé a cease-and-desist letter for using imagery of the Las Vegas Sphere in a video interlude.Beyoncé responded by replacing the Sphere with the Allegiant Stadium in the visual.

Beyoncé is expected to continue her Cowboy Carter tour, while the back-and-forth with Kelly may continue to generate headlines.
