Nong Khai Province Faces Flooding as Mekong River Water Levels Rise
According to recent reports, the Mekong River has begun to flood areas along its banks in Nong Khai Province. The water level has been increasing at an average rate of 2-4 centimeters per hour, with the current level standing at 13.28 meters, 1.08 meters above the waterline.
The rising water levels have caused the Mekong River to overflow into drainage pipes along Mekong Road in Nong Khai Commune. The water has also flooded into Mekong Rim Road, Nong Khai Provincial Administrative Organization, and Nong Khai Commune. Sandbags have been scattered at various points to mitigate the flooding.

Phra Aram Luang, Nong Khai Province, has reported that the water masses of the Mekong River began to flood the temple area along the Mekong River at 9 pm in the pier area of Wat Meechai. The water of the Mekong River has begun to rise and flood the area.
