Mel B and Mel C Reunite on Stage for Spice Up Your Life in Leeds

Former Spice Girls members Mel B and Mel C reunited on stage in Leeds on May 2, 2026, to perform a rendition of the group’s 1997 number one hit Spice Up Your Life.

The performance took place at Leeds’ Project House during a stop on Mel C’s series of Sweat Release Parties. The event followed the May 1, 2026, release of her ninth solo album, titled Sweat.

During the show, Mel C surprised the audience by welcoming Mel B, a Leeds native, to the stage. The two singers shared a stage for the first time since the final show of the Spice Girls’ 2019 reunion tour.

Following a microphone mishap during the set, Mel C described the reunion as special before the pair launched into the full track.

Prospects for a Full Group Reunion

The appearance comes amid ongoing speculation regarding a full reunion of the five-member group. In comments made the week prior to the Leeds performance, Mel C indicated she is manifesting a future performance at the Glastonbury festival.

There’s something about the dynamic of the Spice Girls – when we’re in a room together it’s electric. It still happens to this day… there is something magical about those five personalities. Mel C previously stated that all five members want to do something, though she noted in 2025 that there were no plans for a tour to mark the group’s 30th anniversary in 2026.

Mel B also hinted in 2024 that a Glastonbury appearance could potentially come to fruition, while Mel C has described the group as a belting headliner for the festival at Worthy Farm.

Recent Group Activity and History

The full lineup of the Spice Girls has not performed publicly together since the closing ceremony of the London Olympics in 2012. However, the members did hold a private reunion in 2024 to perform the song Stop at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party.

Further rumors of a reunion were fueled last autumn when Victoria Beckham attended an Oasis Live ’25 concert at London’s Wembley Stadium. The venue is significant as the Spice Girls played three dates there during their 2019 tour.
