Melodic Magic at NANAWATA: RINA’s Enchanting Jazz Piano Solo Concert
NANAWATA’s First Jazz Piano Concert: A Night to Remember
NANAWATA’s first jazz piano concert, held in its fifth year, was a resounding success. The event was fully booked, with reservations selling out quickly. The concert featured RINA, a talented pianist born and raised in the local town of Kawagoe.

The audience was thoroughly satisfied with the performance, which began with Transparent Blue, inspired by Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, followed by the blues composition RINA’s Blue Etude, and an arrangement of the second movement of Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 8 “Pathetique”.

After graduating from Berklee College of Music in the US, RINA made her debut in New York and attracted attention, but was forced to return to Japan just before her tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Her song Memories, which was composed with her memories of New York, left a deep impression on the audience.

The concert was a fulfilling experience, lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes, including a break. The sounds of the piano echoed alongside the blue colors of the sea and sky in Tomoko Sue’s paintings that were on display at the venue.

Thank you to everyone who attended the event. We would also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to RINA for her wonderful performance.
