Mercociudades to Host Education and innovation Event in Villa María
The Thematic Unit of education (UTE) of Mercociudades has announced the results of its call for best practices, which will be examined at the event Education and Innovation: Strategies from the Local,
scheduled for April 24-25 in Villa María, Argentina.
Mercociudades members are invited to participate,subject to limited availability. Registration is open until April 11 via an online form.
From a pool of 42 applications, the UTE selected nine outstanding success stories:
Axis I: Innovation and Creativity from Local Public Policies
Tecnoteca – Usina de Ideas
from the municipality of San Justo, Santa Fe Province.Digital Culture and Media Literacy Program
from the Municipality of Comodoro Rivadavia.Innovation Center
from the Municipality of Avellaneda, Santa Fe Province.
Axis II: Policies for the Promotion and Linking of young People with Higher Education

The institution will cover accommodation and dinner expenses for one representative from each participating or observing Mercociudades member, subject to quotas. Registration for the meeting is open until April 11 via this online form. The UTE will also hold its second working meeting of the year during the event.
The event, titled Education and Innovation: Strategies from the local,
is organized by the UTE and the Municipality of Villa María.It will gather experts, officials, and academics from the region to discuss successful educational innovation policies through keynote speeches, panels, field visits, and workshops. Laura Lewin,a writer,speaker,and consultant in the field of education,is expected to participate.
The event will take place within the framework of the Educational and Institutional Fair of Villa María, Connecting Knowledge: Youth Creating Future,
and is supported by the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities and the Thematic Unit of Youth (UTJ) of Mercociudades.
