Kara Rother,BSN,will assume the chief nursing officer role for Mercy’s Oklahoma City market,effective July 21.Mercy, based in Chesterfield, Mo., selected rother after a national search.
Rother’s responsibilities in her new role will include the oversight of 1,700 nurses working at Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City,its three critical access hospitals,and affiliated clinics throughout the region.
With 18 years of healthcare experience, Rother began her career as a post-anesthesia care unit nurse. Since 2023, she has served as vice president and CNO of Integris Health Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City.
