Metallica have announced two special concerts at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, scheduled for November 2026. The performances are intended to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the venue.

The shows will take place on November 19 and November 21, 2026. These dates will follow the band’s No Repeat Weekend format, a structure introduced during the M72 World Tour. This format consists of two back-to-back performances at a single venue where no songs are repeated across the two different set lists.

The band has selected two different opening acts for the weekend. Suicidal Tendencies, who have supported Metallica throughout the M72 World Tour, will perform on November 19. Spiritbox will open the second show on November 21.

You know the drill: two nights, two totally different set lists with no songs repeated, two unique special guests, and one great weekend! Joining us on November 19 will be our tour buddies Suicidal Tendencies, and on November 21, our new friends Spiritbox.

Tickets for the event will be available in single-day and two-day packages. The sale process begins with a Fifth Member fan club pre-sale on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, followed by a Live Nation pre-sale on April 9, 2026. Tickets will be released to the general public via Ticketmaster on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 10 a.m. ET.

Las Vegas Sphere Residency

These Connecticut appearances occur during Metallica’s Life Burns Faster residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. The residency is scheduled to span from October 2026 through March 2027.

Las Vegas Sphere Residency

Originally announced in February 2026 as an eight-night run, the residency was extended due to high demand and now consists of 24 shows. Similar to the Connecticut dates, the Sphere shows are organized in pairs with a no-repeat policy for the set lists.

The Sphere production will utilize the venue’s immersive technologies, including Sphere Immersive Sound and multi-sensory 4D technology, to present the band’s catalog in new experiential dimensions.

Additional Tour and Recording Activity

Prior to the Las Vegas residency, Metallica will conduct a tour of the UK and Europe later in 2026. This itinerary includes performances in Dublin, Glasgow, and Cardiff, as well as two nights at the London Stadium in July 2026.

Regarding future studio work, guitarist Kirk Hammett revealed in 2025 that he has 767 new riffs prepared for the band’s next album. This follows the release of their 11th studio album, 72 Seasons, which arrived in 2023.
