Metallica Las Vegas: ‘Life Burns Faster’ Residency Dates & Tickets

February 26, 2026 Ahmed Hassan - World News Editor News

LAS VEGAS – Metallica has announced a groundbreaking residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas, promising an immersive concert experience unlike any other. The eight-show run, titled “Life Burns Faster,” is scheduled to begin on October 1, 2026, with performances continuing on October 3, October 15, October 17, October 22, October 24, October 29, and October 31, 2026.

The announcement, made on Wednesday, signals a new chapter for both the band and the technologically advanced Sphere venue. Lars Ulrich, co-founder and drummer of Metallica, described the residency as an opportunity to “reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting,” expressing the band’s enthusiasm for the project. “We are beyond excited,” Ulrich stated.

The “Life Burns Faster” residency will build upon Metallica’s established “No Repeat Weekend” format, a fan-favorite tradition where each Thursday and Saturday performance within the run will feature a completely unique setlist. This means attendees choosing to experience both shows on a weekend will be treated to two distinct concerts, ensuring no song is repeated.

The Sphere, which opened in 2023, is renowned for its fully immersive video and audio capabilities. Its massive LED screen, wrapping around and above the audience, and its advanced spatial audio system are designed to create a truly enveloping experience. Metallica’s residency is expected to fully leverage these technologies, enhancing the band’s live performances with visuals and soundscapes tailored to the venue’s unique capabilities.

Tickets for weekend packages and single-night performances will go on sale on March 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. A series of presales will precede the general public sale, beginning with a Fan Club presale on March 2, 2026. Presales are tiered based on membership level, with Legacy Members gaining access first, followed by Fifth Members. Fans can also register for a Ticketmaster Artist Presale, with details available online.

Metallica is also offering a premium “Full House” ticket, allowing holders access to every performance of the residency. Travel packages, including tickets to both Thursday and Saturday shows, a three-night stay at either The Venetian Resort Las Vegas or Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, limited-edition merchandise, and concierge service, are also available. These travel packages will begin with presales for Legacy Members on February 27, 2026, at 7:00 AM Pacific Time, followed by Fifth Members at 9:00 AM Pacific Time, and opening to the general public at 11:00 AM Pacific Time.

Enhanced Experiences, ranging from meet-and-greet opportunities to pre-show onstage photos and exclusive access to the Black Box Experience, will also be available. These premium options, along with the Full House Ticket, are included in the Fan Club Presale on March 2, 2026.

The band is also planning to host Snake Pit contests for Fifth Members, offering a coveted spot within the exclusive pit area during the shows. Details regarding these contests will be announced separately.

This residency represents a significant investment in the live music landscape by both Metallica and the Sphere. The Sphere, a relatively new venue, is actively seeking to establish itself as a premier destination for large-scale entertainment, and securing a band with Metallica’s global appeal is a major step in that direction. For Metallica, the residency provides a unique opportunity to connect with fans in an innovative and immersive environment, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in a live concert setting.

The decision to implement the “No Repeat Weekend” format underscores Metallica’s commitment to providing a unique experience for dedicated fans. The band has a long history of catering to its loyal fanbase, and this residency is designed to reward those who choose to attend multiple shows. The combination of a technologically advanced venue and a commitment to musical diversity promises a compelling and memorable experience for concertgoers.
