Drug Seizure on Ferry
Police arrested a 70-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman after they allegedly brought methamphetamine into Picton via ferry. The man was found with approximately one ounce of methamphetamine,valued between $5,000 and $7,000,as he disembarked,according to police reports.

Police say a related search warrant was executed and further arrests are being considered.

Charges Filed
The 70-year-old man faces 13 charges related to the supply of methamphetamine and cannabis. The 50-year-old woman is also facing charges related to supplying methamphetamine.
On Thursday, police executed a search warrant related to the case and are considering further arrests, according to authorities.
Police Commitment to Disrupting Drug Supply
Detective Sergeant ben Smith of the Blenheim Tactical Crime Unit stated that police are dedicated to removing drug dealers from the streets. He indicated that authorities believe the drugs were intended for distribution within the Marlborough region.
Police encourage anyone with facts regarding methamphetamine production or distribution to come forward.
Court Appearance
Both the man and the woman are scheduled to appear in the Blenheim District Court on November 24.
