Wipro Limited has prolonged its alliance with Metro AG, the international food wholesaler, for another two years. The agreement allows Wipro to continue delivering integrated digital services, focusing on cloud computing, data management, application development, and AI-enabled IT support.
As 2021, Wipro has served as Metro’s strategic IT partner, spearheading a change management program that transformed Metro’s IT infrastructure and improved business operations. Wipro migrated 80% of Metro’s on-premise infrastructure to the cloud, enhancing responsiveness, cyber resilience, and reducing Metro’s carbon footprint.
The extended partnership will see Wipro supporting Metro’s digital change using cloud technology, advanced analytics, automation, and AI solutions. Wipro will also contribute to Metro’s data and AI strategy through data management and governance.
