The Major League Baseball All-Star rosters are now complete! New York Mets pitcher Joey Peterson has been added as a replacement, joining a star-studded lineup for Tuesday night’s Midsummer Classic in Atlanta. Note: Jose Ramirez is listed as a starter for the American League. Robbie Ray, initially selected, will be inactive for the game as he’s scheduled to pitch for the San Francisco Giants on Sunday against the Los angeles Dodgers.
Peterson Joins Mets All-Star Contingent
Peterson’s selection makes for a strong showing from the Mets. He’ll be alongside:
Francisco Lindor: Shortstop, a perennial All-Star talent.
Pete Alonso: First baseman, known for his powerful hitting.
Edwin Diaz: Closer,a dominant force at the back end of the bullpen.
Robbie Ray’s Situation & Giants Representation
While Ray won’t be taking the mound in Atlanta, he’s having an outstanding season for the Giants. Currently 9-3 with a 2.63 ERA in 19 starts, the 33-year-old previously won the 2021 AL Cy Young Award while pitching for the Toronto Blue Jays.The Giants will still be well-represented at the All-Star Game, with:

Logan Webb: Right-handed pitcher
Randy Rodriguez: Reliever
