The Federal Consumer Prosecutor (Profeco) of Mexico, together with the Ford automobile brand, issued an alert for failure in the rear vision chamber in 8,375 vehicles of the Maverick model, from 2022 to 2024.
In a statement, Profeco said that the security problem is presented in “the rear view camera showing a frozen image on the screen while the vehicle is in reverse, generating a false representation where the car is located in relation to its surroundings.”
The agency warned that this ruling “could cause an accident, collision or malfunction.”
