Mexico Under Siege: Tláloc Brings Torrential Rains, Wreaks Havoc on Edomex Roads and Communities

Heavy Rain⁤ Causes ⁣Flooding and Road Chaos in Mexico State

Several Municipalities ​Affected, Including Tultitlán, Coacalco, ‌and Ecatepec

Mexico City, ​September 28 – Heavy rain in several municipalities in the State⁣ of Mexico has caused significant⁢ flooding and road chaos.

The municipality ⁣of Tultitlán has ​been⁣ one of the most affected, ⁤with the flood reaching the industrial zone and⁣ a water level higher than ⁤30​ centimeters. ‍The Metrobús​ Line 2 service from Quebrada station had to be‍ suspended due to water accumulation.

In neighborhoods such as ‌Real del Bosque,⁣ Villa de San José, and the area⁤ known as La Bandera, rainfall has⁤ caused significant flooding, especially in the​ Valle de Tules neighborhood, where⁣ the storm drain ⁢collapsed due to the accumulation of trash and a ⁣large amount of⁢ water.

López Portillo Avenue, which covers ​the municipalities of Tultitlán, Coacalco, and Ecatepec, has also been seriously affected by flooding in different‌ places in ‌the areas mentioned above.

The ‌authorities also reported‍ flooding on‌ the routes of ⁢Palmas and Resource Hydraulics, in the‌ neighborhood of Lázaro Cárdenas.

Personnel from the‍ Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Agency went to the area to reduce the water level, which ⁣caused significant road complications in ⁣the area.

Likewise, flooding is also reported in Coacalco, where runoff from the Sierra‌ de Guadalupe affected the Rinconada ‍San Felipe⁤ area. Local authorities are already working⁤ to mitigate the‌ damage and offer support to affected residents.

In ⁣Ecatepec, one of the main ⁣damages was on the Morelos⁣ road, near the ⁢General Hospital ‍Zone number 76 of the Institute of Social Security of Mexico ⁢(IMSS); ⁤Videos were⁣ shared on social networks ⁣where the water‍ that came down from the upper area swept away some motorbikes and left several ‌vehicles circulating in the area under water.

As a‌ result of the flooding in the municipality,‌ the Mexibús service on Line 4 has suspended its service⁢ in the affected sections, leaving only the UMB-Clínica 93, ​and La Raza-Clínica 76 runs.

The authorities recommended that drivers avoid the ⁢area and be very ​patient.
