Inglewood,Calif. — Edson Alvarez played a pivotal role, scoring a goal and assisting another, as Mexico secured a 3-2 victory against the Dominican Republic in their CONCACAF Gold Cup group A match Saturday night.The defending champion, Mexico, now holds 3 points with a 1-0-0 record.
