Meyer Shank Racing Set for an Epic 2025 Season: Surprising Strategies and Bold Predictions

November 22, 2024 Catherine Williams Sports

Felix Rosenqvist had a strong first season with Meyer Shank Racing, driving the No. 60 AutoNation/SiriusXM Honda. He achieved two top-five finishes, six top-10 finishes, and earned the NTT P1 Award at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Rosenqvist and his teammate David Malukas, who replaced Tom Blomqvist and Helio Castroneves, qualified 15 times in the top six and finished 10 times in the top 10 last season. Rosenqvist praised his team, calling it the most underrated in INDYCAR.

In early 2024, Rosenqvist qualified on the front row for the first three races, finishing fifth, third, and ninth. He qualified fifth and finished fourth at Barber Motorsports Park, started and ended 10th at the Sonsio Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and qualified ninth for the Indianapolis 500. Sadly, a mechanical failure during the race dropped him to 27th place.

Although his points dropped from fifth to 12th after the “500,” he focused on the team’s progress. In 2023, his car ranked 25th in entrant points but improved by 13 placements within a season.

Rosenqvist noted, “We know what we need to work on for next year, especially during races where we struggled to string a weekend together.” He is confident that the team can build on last season’s performance.
