LONDON – In a historic move, the UK government has tapped Blaise Metreweli to lead the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced Sunday that Metreweli will be the first woman to hold the top role at the agency, known for its fictional portrayal in the James Bond series. Her appointment comes as the nation grapples with increasing national security concerns, making her role critical.
