Michael J. Fox Returns to Acting in ’Shrinking’ Season Three
Michael J. Fox makes his return to acting after a six-year hiatus in a new clip from the third season of Shrinking, debuting exclusively with Rolling Stone. The new season premieres January 28 on Apple TV.
The clip is from the season’s first episode,”My Bad.” In the scene, Harrison Ford’s character, Paul - a therapist also living with Parkinson’s disease – encounters Fox’s character, Gerry, in a doctor’s waiting room.
Gerry, further along in his battle with parkinson’s, initiates conversation by shaking Paul’s hand and saying, “Mild tremor – I would kill to have a fucking tremor like that.” Paul responds by describing his own symptoms: stiffness and pain.
Shrinking explores the lives of therapists grappling with their own challenges. Ford and Fox both live with Parkinson’s disease, adding a layer of personal resonance to their roles. Read more at Rolling Stone.
