Gunman Dead, One Injured in Michigan Church Shooting

A member of the church’s security team engaged the suspect outside the main entrance, police said. The team had locked the doors and exchanged gunfire with the suspect,who was killed. Responding officers attempted life-saving measures, but the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

One person sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a local hospital. The victim is in stable condition following surgery, officials said.

A search warrant executed at the suspect’s residence yielded additional rifles, semi-automatic handguns, and a large quantity of ammunition, all of which were seized by police.
