Mick Jagger Joins Cast of Three Incestuous Sisters Film

Mick Jagger, the 82-year-old frontman of the Rolling Stones, is returning to the screen in the upcoming English-language feature Three Incestuous Sisters. According to several reports, the musician has joined the cast of the project, which is being helmed by acclaimed Italian director Alice Rohrwacher.

Jagger is slated to play the father of the character portrayed by Josh O’Connor. The film is a gothic drama based on the illustrated novel by author Audrey Niffenegger.

The narrative of Three Incestuous Sisters focuses on three sisters residing in a decaying house by the sea. Their isolated lives are disrupted by the arrival of the young son of a lighthouse keeper.

The production features a high-profile ensemble cast alongside Jagger and O’Connor, including Saoirse Ronan, Dakota Johnson, Jessie Buckley, and Isabella Rossellini.

For Alice Rohrwacher, this project marks her first venture into English-language cinema. The filmmaker has previously earned international recognition for her work on films such as Happy as Lazzaro and La Chimera.

Jagger’s foray into acting began in 1970, when he took on the title role in Ned Kelly. Throughout his career, he has appeared in several other films, including The Bank Job, Bent, Freejack, and Performance.

His last appearance in a feature film was in the 2019 crime thriller The Burnt Orange Heresy.

The announcement of Jagger’s casting coincides with the rollout of the Rolling Stones’ next album, Foreign Tongues, which is scheduled for release on July 10.

As part of the album’s promotion, the band released a video for the song In the Stars. The video employs digital de-aging technology to depict the band members and features actress Odessa A’zion, who appears in a scene where she licks the face of an AI-generated version of Jagger.
