The Ministry of Education has announced the dates for the mid-year examinations in 2025. This is important news for parents and students in Transfer and Preparatory Certificate classes.

Important Dates:

• Transfer Classes: Mid-year exams are scheduled for January 11, 2025.
• Preparatory Certificate: These exams will take place starting January 18, 2025.

First Semester Exam Schedule:

• The first semester exams for General Secondary School for both first and second-year students will run from January 11 to January 16, 2025.
• The second-year exams will be held first, followed by the first-year exams.

The transfer tests for middle school students in the first and second grades, as well as early transfer tests for elementary grades three to six, will also occur between January 11 and January 16, 2025.

Preparatory Certificate Exam Details:

• The 2025 mid-year exam for the Preparatory Certificate will take place from January 18 to January 23, 2025.
• These exams will cover higher-level subjects for government language schools and specialized private schools, and adhere to all examination rules set by the Ministry.

Holiday Schedule:

There will be no exams on Christian holidays in January 2025, specifically on the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 19th.

Mid-Year Break:

The mid-year break will start on Saturday, January 25, 2025, and will last for two weeks.

• The vacation will end on February 6, 2025, and the second semester for the 2024/2025 academic year will commence on February 8, 2025.
