Mid-Race Update: 2024 FIM EWC Bol d’Or 24 Hours Reaches 15-Hour Mark – Who’s Leading the Pack
It is 15 hours since the 2024 Bol d’Or 24 Hours FIM EWC Rd4 and, although it is already 6am, it is still dark and the night driving continues.
YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL (Su, BS) #12 of BS continues to lead the pack and, after successfully completing his 17th pit stop on lap 453, passes the #37 BMW MOTORRADO WORLD ENDURANCE TEAM (Su, BS), who is in second place. BMW, DL) with a 4-lap advantage.
Last year’s champion, BS #1 YART-YAMAHA (Ya, BS), had car problems on lap 451 and was forced to push the car out of the first corner into the pits by the drivers and marshals. The car stopped quite far from the pits, so it could not move for a considerable time, was towed by the safety car and returned to the pits. Work continues in the pits in preparation for the restart.
Another BS car, the #5 FCC TSR HONDA FRANCE (Ho, BS), recorded some laps in the 1min 53sec range, recovering its position up to 10th place.
