Israeli Army Drops Thousands of Rocket Launcher Bombs in Southern Lebanon
The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it had dropped thousands of rocket launcher bombs in southern Lebanon, as Hezbollah continued to attack Israel in support of the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Air Force dropped thousands of missile launcher bombs that were ready for immediate use to fire on Israeli territory, hitting “180 targets,” according to the army.
Hezbollah Continues to Attack Israel
The Israeli army reported that Hezbollah had fired about ninety missiles from Lebanon towards Israel on Saturday, continuing the almost daily exchange of fire along the border in support of the Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.
The army stated that as of Saturday 17:00 (14:00 GMT), Hezbollah had fired “about ninety missiles” at Israeli territory.
Israeli Strike Kills Hezbollah Leaders
The Israeli military named a group of Hezbollah leaders it said had been killed in an Israeli strike in a southern suburb of Beirut on Friday.
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adrai stated that the strike killed the commander of the Radwan Force of Hezbollah, Ibrahim Akil, and Ahmed Mahmoud Wehbe (Abu Hussein Samir), who served as the head of the training unit of the Radwan Force.
Additionally, seven more party commanders were killed in the strike, including:
- Samer Abdel Halim Halawi (Hamza al-Gharbia), commander of the attack area of the coastal sector
- Abbas Sami Moslamani (Siraj Ali), commander of the attack area of the Qana region
- Abdullah Abbas Hijazi (Bilal), commander of the Ramim Mountain offensive area
- Muhammad Ahmed Reda (Nineveh), commander of the Khiyam area offensive area
- Hassan Hussein Madi (Abu Hadi Maydoun), commander of the Jabal Rous attack area
- Hassan Youssef Abdel Satar (Baqir), Radwan Force operations officer
- Hussain Ahmed Hadraj (Siraj), Radwan Force officer involved in arms transfer operations
According to Adrai, the leaders who were eliminated in the raid were responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing hundreds of plots against Israel, including the bloody, barbaric plan to storm the cities of Galilee.
