Midnight Mayhem: Teenager Survives Gun Attack by Mysterious Stranger on Busy Highway

A man in his 30s stabbed a high school student he had never met with a gun and ran away.

This high school student was walking home from dropping off a friend when she eventually died.

Journalist Choi Hwang-ji reported the story.

It was just after midnight.

A high school student walks on the sidewalk next to a four-lane road.

However, a man appeared to be following him and suddenly brandished a gun.

An 18-year-old man fell and grabbed him, but the man shrugged him off and disappeared.

“The lady was screaming, so I ran after her to stop her, but the man ran away.”

After committing the crime here, the criminal fled through the parking lot.

Mr Park, 30, was captured by police outside an apartment complex about 2km from the crime scene.

He was drunk and was arguing with a passerby.

“It appears that the person involved in the dispute reported it. There was an altercation, but when our staff went to check, there were many areas where the impressions were consistent, so we made an emergency stop.”

It is known that Mr. Park and the high school victim have never met in person.

“I said, ‘Miss, I know that boy,’ and he said, ‘I don’t know him.’ Then he said, ‘Please save me.’ And then he lost consciousness.”

The stabbed high school student was taken to a university hospital in Gwangju, but eventually died while receiving treatment.

As a result of the police investigation, it was confirmed that the high school student had an accident while returning home from dropping off her friend.

Police are investigating a man in his 30s on suspicion of murder and plan to seek an arrest warrant once the high school student’s autopsy is completed.
