The American skier, sidelined as a crash during the Killington giant slalom on November 30, shared a video on social media documenting her return to the snow on Wednesday, January 8.

“It was a accomplished on-snow test. We did three runs, nothing crazy, but that was so fun. Yay!” Shiffrin exclaimed in the video, radiating enthusiasm.

The footage showed Shiffrin engaging in reactivation exercises under the watchful eye of physical therapist Regan Dewhirst before hitting the slopes for some gentle training runs.

Shiffrin, who underwent unexpected surgery to treat an abdominal puncture following the crash, didn’t specify a timeline for her return to competitive racing. The 2025 World Championships in Saalbach are less than a month away, adding a sense of urgency to her recovery.
