Mike Myers Teases Possible Return of Austin Powers
Mike Myers, creator and star of Austin Powers, hinted at a potential comeback for the beloved spy character. During an interview at Vulture Festival, he expressed optimism about Austin Powers’ return, stating, “I would be surprised if it didn’t.”
Myers also discussed his experiences from his career but remained tight-lipped about the upcoming fifth Shrek film, which Universal is set to release on July 1, 2026. He said, “I can neither confirm nor deny the existence or nonexistence of any element that I should or should not say.”
While fans recognize Myers for Austin Powers and Shrek, he noted that he is often recognized for his roles as Dr. Evil and Garth from Wayne’s World. He shared that he wishes more people would acknowledge his character from the Netflix series The Pentaverate. He described Lord Lordington, the head of a secret organization in the show, as his favorite character. He hopes that people will someday greet him with “Hey, Lord Lordington!”
