Mike Tyson vs. Mayweather: Heated Exchange Over Boxing Legend
Mike Tyson’s Scathing Critique of Floyd Mayweather’s Ali Comparisons
The rivalry between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Mike Tyson, though never a direct in-ring confrontation, has manifested in verbal sparring, particularly regarding Mayweather’s repeated claims of surpassing muhammad Ali as the greatest boxer of all time. Tyson, a legend in his own right, has been particularly vocal in dismissing Mayweather’s assertions.
“He’s Very Delusional”
Prior to Mayweather’s highly anticipated 2015 super-fight against Manny Pacquiao, Tyson didn’t hold back when asked about Mayweather’s self-proclaimed status. In an interview with Undisputed Champion Network, Tyson delivered a blistering critique.
“He’s very delusional,” Tyson stated bluntly. “If he was anywhere near that realm of great and Ali,he’d be able to take his kids to school by himself, okay?”
Tyson continued, questioning Mayweather’s perceived lack of public acceptance. “He can’t take his kids to school by himself. And he’s talking about [how] he’s great? Greatness is not guarding yourself from the people. Greatness is being accepted by the people. He can’t take his kids alone to school by himself.”
Concluding his assessment, Tyson labeled Mayweather as insecure. “He’s a little scared man. He’s a very small scared man,” he declared.
A Potential Tyson-Mayweather Matchup on Netflix?

Netflix has continued to expand its sports offerings, including the recent Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano trilogy bout in July and the upcoming Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight. Given Tyson’s proven ability to attract a massive audience, a potential exhibition match between Tyson and Mayweather on Netflix is a distinct possibility.
