Hornets get Boost as Bridges Returns after Knee Injury
CHICAGO – The Charlotte Hornets received a much-needed boost Friday night as forward Miles Bridges returned to the lineup against the Chicago Bulls after missing 10 games with a bruised right knee.
Bridges, a key piece of the Hornets’ offense, had been sidelined sence a loss to the Brooklyn nets on November 19th. Prior to the injury, the 6-foot-7 forward was averaging an impressive 16 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.

Miles bridges was averaging 16.0 points and 6.5 rebounds before hyperextending his right knee on nov. 19.
Rookie forward Tidjane Salaun also returned to the lineup after missing the previous two games due to a sprained left ankle.
The Hornets have struggled mightily in recent weeks, dropping 12 of their last 15 games. An eight-game losing streak was finally snapped with a victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.Coach Charles Lee expressed optimism about the impact Bridges and Salaun’s return will have on the team.
“More depth, more versatility,” Lee said. “There haven’t been any excuses made, and there’s just been an overall competitiveness.But the one thing that we gain from those two guys is more competitiveness. But offensively, I think they help us create different types of shots, some better shot opportunities because of their ability to get a piece of the paint.”
With Bridges and Salaun back in the fold, the Hornets hope to turn their season around and climb back into playoff contention.
