Miley Cyrus, the singer and actress, altered her strict vegan diet in 2019 after adhering to it since 2013. Cyrus said she incorporated fish and omegas into her meals, citing concerns about her cognitive abilities. She recalled feeling depleted during the Glastonbury music festival.
While acknowledging that vegan diets suit many, Cyrus noted a marked betterment in her well-being after reintroducing animal products. “I’m so much sharper than I was,” Cyrus said, suggesting she had been “pretty malnutritioned” while vegan.
Her first meal featuring animal products was fish,grilled by Hemsworth,her then-partner,who had also been vegan. Cyrus described the moment as emotionally challenging. ”I cried for the fish,” she said, expressing her discomfort with eating fish.
Cyrus initially embraced veganism out of concern for animals, not primarily for health reasons. She has a large number of animals at her homes in Nashville and Calabasas.
