Million-Dollar Bust: Authorities Seize Contraband Worth $20 Million in Koupéla
The National Coordination for the Fight Against Fraud (CNLF) Cracks Down on Fraudsters
The National Coordination for the Fight Against Fraud (CNLF) is intensifying its efforts to combat fraud and its accomplices, who often operate in plain sight.
Recent surveillance and control measures have enabled the CNLF to seize a significant number of products from commercial stores, highlighting the effectiveness of its anti-fraud strategies.
On the night of September 7-8, 2024, the Investigation Brigade Center and Research (BERC) seized 6,325 bicycle tires, 40 motorcycle tires, 287 cans (20 liters) of motor oil, and 23 boxes of amphetamines, valued at approximately 20,000,000 FCFA.
In the West, the Western Investigation and Research Brigade (BERO) made significant seizures of counterfeit goods on July 18, 2024, including 65 boxes of 178,500 packages of street medicines, valued at approximately 46,750,000 FCFA.
The perpetrators of these crimes pose a significant threat to the lives of citizens, and their actions can have devastating consequences. The consumption of amphetamines and street drugs can lead to certain death, while poor-quality tires can cause fatal accidents.

The CNLF commends the population for their cooperation and reiterates its call for vigilance and joint commitment to combat fraudulent practices, which are severely punished by law.
