Mind Matters: Introducing ‘miniMIO’ – Revolutionizing Workplace Wellbeing
Introducing “miniMIO”: A Program to Support Mental Health in the Workplace
Aiming to Create an Environment Conducive to Good Mental Health
Thailand is facing a challenging situation, with economic fluctuations and changing social conditions affecting the mental health of its citizens. The working-age population, in particular, is bearing the brunt of these changes, with many struggling to cope with stress and anxiety.
The Thai Health Promotion Foundation has recognized the need to support the mental health of workers and has developed the “miniMIO” program to promote good mental health in the workplace. The program is designed to create an environment conducive to good mental health, with a focus on promoting understanding and awareness among workers.
The Importance of Mental Health in the Workplace
According to the Thai Employee Mental Health Survey 2023, 40% of working-age people in Thailand have high levels of stress, with economic problems, changes in work patterns, and business uncertainty being major contributing factors. The survey also found that 17.2% of people assessed were at risk of depression, 15.4% had high stress, and 10.6% were at risk of suicide.
The Thai Health Promotion Foundation and its partners have recognized the need to promote mental health in the workplace and have developed the “miniMIO” program to support this goal. The program is designed to promote understanding and awareness of good mental health among workers, with a focus on creating an environment conducive to good mental health.

The “miniMIO” Program: A Solution for Mental Health in the Workplace
The “miniMIO” program is a comprehensive solution for promoting mental health in the workplace. The program is designed to promote understanding and awareness of good mental health among workers, with a focus on creating an environment conducive to good mental health. The program has been piloted in 15 public and private organizations and is planned to be expanded to 45 organizations by 2027.
The program includes a range of activities and tools, including training for organizational leaders, workshops for employees, and a mobile application to support mental health. The program is designed to be flexible and adaptable to the needs of different organizations and can be tailored to meet the specific needs of each organization.
