Build A Rocket BoyS highly anticipated sci-fi shooter, MindsEye, has stumbled out of the gate. Launched Tuesday, the game, spearheaded by Leslie Benzies, a former grand Theft Auto producer, quickly drew fire from players citing numerous bugs and glitches.
MindsEye casts players as Jacob Diaz, a soldier navigating the Las Vegas-inspired metropolis of Redrock. Despite initial trailers showcasing polished gameplay, the reality proved different. Gamers have reported erratic non-player character behavior, game crashes, and important performance issues across all platforms. The game’s Discord channel even disabled emoji reactions due to the flood of negative feedback.
Steam reviews reflect the disappointment, with many users demanding refunds for the $60-$80 title. Build A Rocket Boy acknowledged the problems and announced “Update 3,” promising performance enhancements, particularly for consoles.
