Minister Tekin’s 23 April National Sovereignty and Children’s Day Message: MEB Highlights School Safety Initiatives and New Security Measures for Students

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin issued a message on April 23, National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, emphasizing the significance of the dual celebration for the nation and its youth.

In his statement, Minister Tekin highlighted that April 23 marks both the 105th anniversary of the opening of the Turkish Grand National Assembly and National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, describing it as a historic turning point in the nation’s founding.

He paid tribute to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and the founding parliamentarians, stating that their contributions are remembered with respect and gratitude, and reaffirmed the state’s commitment to nurturing future generations with awareness and love.

The Minister noted that when the national sovereignty and children’s celebrations coincide, the entire nation of 86 million people celebrates together, reinforcing unity between the state and its youth.
