The English Open 2024 global professional snooker tournament is underway at Brentwood Leisure Centre in Brentwood, England, with a prize pool of £550,400 (approximately 24.2 million baht).
Natcharat Wongharutai, also known as “Mink Saraburi,” Thailand’s 2022 Women’s World Champion and currently ranked 108 in the world, faced off against England’s Ricky Walden, ranked 37 globally, on the night of September 16, 2024.
Walden, a three-time world-class professional tournament winner, dominated the competition, leaving Mink Saraburi unable to resist, ultimately losing 0-4 frames and being eliminated from the tournament. Despite her loss, Mink Saraburi took home a consolation prize of 1,000 pounds, approximately 43,000 baht.
