Minneapolis Casting Calls: Audition for Mechanoid Genesis and More

Minneapolis actors have several opportunities to audition for upcoming film and television projects, including a feature film titled “Mechanoid Genesis” and several short films, according to a recent casting call listing compiled by Backstage and reported by the Mesabi Tribune.

‘Mechanoid Genesis’ Casting

So Grateful Films is casting for “Mechanoid Genesis,” a feature film about eight military soldiers overseeing a new AI military robot. Roles currently being filled include Naomi (lead, female, 21-39), Maksim Logan (lead, male, 25-45), and one of the Six Soldiers (supporting, all genders, 18-60). Auditions are being held in Minneapolis.

Additional Minnesota Film Opportunities

Beyond “Mechanoid Genesis,” two short films are also seeking talent in Minneapolis. The short film “The Lake” is casting for the role of Meryl (lead, female, 50-85). “The Bench” is seeking actors for Daniel Cross (lead, male, 25-35), Maya Rodriguez (supporting, female, 25-35), and Sarah Chen (supporting, female, 30-50).

Nationwide Casting Calls

Several nationwide casting calls were also listed. “Cookin’ With Cowboys,” a scripted show, is seeking a Host (supporting, female, 35-55), with roles paying up to $75,000. A Couples Competition Show is looking for Engaged Couples (real people, 21-35), with roles paying up to $1,750.
