Minnesota High School Basketball: Recent Scores and Tournament Updates

Several high school boys basketball games took place across Minnesota on Monday, February 2, 2026, with notable performances from teams and players statewide.

Harrisburg defeated Marshall 62-52 in a game held in Harrisburg, South Dakota. Oliver Voigt led Marshall with 14 points, while Patrick Morman added 11. Harrisburg was led by four players scoring in double figures and outperformed Marshall in three-point shooting, making seven to Marshall’s two and in rebounding, 28-19. JR Vierstraete led Marshall with five rebounds, and Noah Pieper recorded three steals. Marshall’s record now stands at 8-10, and they will face No. 6 St. Peter on Friday, February 6, at 7:15 p.m.

In Dawson, the No. 10 Dawson-Boyd boys basketball team achieved a dominant 104-40 victory over MACCRAY. Gunner Liebl, Jaxton Hastad, and Carson Stratmoen all scored over 20 points. Hastad recorded a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Liebl led all scorers with 27 points and eight steals. Stratmoen contributed 25 points, shooting 5 for 10 from three-point range. Dawson-Boyd controlled the game with 10 three-pointers, 48 rebounds, and 16 steals, compared to MACCRAY’s two three-pointers, 24 rebounds, and four steals. Dawson-Boyd, now 15-3, will travel to Renville County West (13-5) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Wabasso secured a 91-55 win against Lac qui Parle Valley in Madison. Brayden Guetter led the scoring with 31 points. Caden Frericks added a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds, and Drew Kemp contributed 11 points and five assists. Wabasso forced 20 turnovers while committing only 11 and outrebounded LQPV 37-30. Wabasso’s record improves to 18-2, and they will host Yellow Medicine East on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Westbrook-Walnut Grove defeated Windom 71-69 in a close contest. Drew Swanson led WWG with 11 rebounds, three steals, and four assists, while Neil Kuehl added eight boards and four assists. WWG will host Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

No. 5 Hills-Beaver Creek defeated Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 91-52. Griffin Zick led the Panthers with 24 points, while Connor Lanoue dished out 10 assists. TMB committed 19 turnovers. The Panthers (8-10) will travel to Minneota on Friday at 7 p.m.

Canby defeated Yellow Medicine East 74-65, led by Jace Rangaard’s 22 points. Owen Peterson added 15 points, and Hunter Kack and Will Abrahamson scored 13 and 10 points, respectively. Cooper McCosh led YME with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Gunnar Fagen added 13 points and 10 rebounds. Canby (4-14) will host Minneota on Monday at 7 p.m. YME (3-14) will play at Central Minnesota Christian today at 4:15 p.m.

Red Rock Central fell to No. 5 Hills-Beaver Creek 81-56 on Saturday. Henry Stavnes led the Falcons with 18 points and five assists, while Finn Batalden and Jake Erickson each scored 10 points. Red Rock Central (6-14) will host Murray County Central on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Wabasso also secured a 97-54 victory over New Ulm Cathedral on Saturday. Caden Frericks and Brayden Guetter combined for 43 points, with Frericks recording a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Guetter adding 22 points. Drew Kemp and Tavyn Larson contributed 16 and 14 points, respectively. Wabasso will host Yellow Medicine East on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Looking ahead, several games are scheduled for the week of February 3rd. On February 3rd, Breck will play Holy Family at 7:00 PM. On February 4th, Richfield will face DeLaSalle at 7:00 PM, and Mahtomedi will play Tartan at 7:00 PM. February 5th will feature Zimmerman versus Becker at 7:00 PM, and February 6th will see East Ridge play Forest Lake at 7:00 PM.

The 2024 Class A Champion was Cherry High School, the 2024 Class AA Champion was Breck School, the 2024 Class AAA Champion was Totino-Grace High School, and the 2024 Class AAAA Champion was Minnetonka High School.
