Authorities are searching for a suspect after a Minnesota state representative and her husband were found dead in their home early today. The victims were identified as state Rep. Melissa Hortman, a prominent Democrat, and her husband.
In a separate incident, a state senator and his wife were also shot at their home.The senator is reportedly in stable condition at a local hospital. Both attacks occurred in suburbs northwest of Minneapolis.
The suspect has been identified as 57-year-old Vance Boelter. Officials say Boelter was last seen wearing a cowboy hat and may be attempting to leave the Twin cities metro area. Boelter is believed to have been driving a vehicle resembling a police car.
