Miracle in Antalya: Meet Tatiana, the Russian Sensation Who Defied the Odds

The accident happened on July 21, around 17.30, on the Söke-Milas highway. Tatiana Ozolina, a Russian citizen, motorcycle enthusiast and social media phenomenon, went to Turkey in the second week of July as part of her world tour. Tatiana Ozolina was accompanied on the trip by Onur Obut and Sergei Khadrikov. Sergei Khadrikov, one of the three motorcyclists who moved to Milas, was allegedly left behind. After that, Obut and Ozolina slowed down and waited for their other friends to approach them. Meanwhile, the motorcycle with plate number 4898 AM 55, driven by Tatiana Ozolina, and the motorcycle with plate number 01 ATM 970, driven by Onur Obut, had an accident. While the drivers were thrown, the accident was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center and medical and police teams were sent to the scene. During the checks, it was determined that Ozolina was dead. The other injured driver, Obut, was taken to hospital.

‘TATIANA HITS ME FROM BEHIND’

Onur Obut, whose treatment was completed at the hospital, was detained by police teams. I have been familiar with Tatiana Ozolina and Sergei Khardikov from social media for a long time, Obut said in his statement. I invited them to show them around Turkey. Our journey began in Istanbul. When we entered the boundaries of the Milas district, I slowed down to wait for Sergei, who stayed behind. At that moment, Tatiana, who came from behind, hit me and was thrown away, said Obut, who was referred to the court after his procedures in the police, he was released on the condition of judicial control. A report was prepared by the forensic medicine institute based on the security cameras that were monitored and eyewitness statements. In the report, it was said that Ozolina braked because of the truck that came in front of her while she was driving, and that Obut, who was not keeping the following distance, hit Ozolina’s motorcycle from behind, so Ozolina was not at fault in the accident, and Obut was mainly to blame.

CAMERA CLAIM ON MOTORCYCLES

Tatiana Ozolina’s family lawyer, Ali Şan, said that the camera on Ozolina’s motorcycle, which was allegedly recording the incident, was missing after the accident. Noting that a driver who stopped for the accident said he gave the camera to Obut, one of the other drivers, Ali Şan asked anyone else who saw the camera to give a statement to the prosecutor’s office.

‘ALL EVIDENCE WAS COLLECTED IN THE FILE’

Lawyer Ali Şan said that the investigation into the accident was carried out in great detail by the prosecutor’s office and said, “We lost Tatiana Ozolina as a result of a tragic accident.” Only a report on the cause of death is awaited. All the evidence was collected in the file. However, the camera footage is missing. After the accident, a citizen said that Tatiana gave the camera on her motorcycle to the other driver because the gendarmerie was not there at the time. This driver says he got no camera. the one to blame is doubtful.” Many eyewitnesses have given their statements.
