Ryan, a gray cat, was on an outing with his owners, the Anguiano couple, when he got lost in Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. This was Ryan’s first visit to the forest, and he was frightened, running into the nearby woods and losing contact with his owners.
The Anguiano couple spent four days searching for Ryan but were unable to find him. They eventually returned to their residence in Salinas, California, without their beloved pet. However, last month, they received a surprising and happy update from a microchip company. Ryan had been found at the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Roseville, California, approximately 1,448 kilometers away from Yellowstone National Park.

Two months later, the Anguiano family was finally reunited with their pet. Ryan’s owner, Mrs. Anguiano, expressed her amazement at Ryan’s journey, saying, “I’m sure he completed this adventure mainly on his own. He’s very beautiful, and his paw is really injured. He has lost 40 percent of his weight and his protein level is very low due to malnutrition.”
