Jakarta – A woman passenger on a flight has gone missing during a transit stop. Before she disappeared, she sent a worrying message to her family.
According to The People, the missing woman is Hannah Kobayashi. She is from Hawaii and was traveling to New York City (NYC) on Friday, November 8. Her flight stopped in Los Angeles, where she was last seen.
Hannah sent her last message to her family on November 11. In the message, she expressed fear and suspicion that someone might try to steal her money and identity. Family member Larie Pidgeon shared this information on Facebook on November 14.
Pidgeon noted that Hannah left Honolulu for her planned vacation to NYC on November 8. Hannah, an aspiring photographer, intended to explore the art scene in the city. She was scheduled to arrive in NYC on November 9.
After leaving Maui, Hannah was supposed to take her connecting flight to NYC in Los Angeles. Pidgeon mentioned that some of Hannah’s messages did not sound like her usual self. Their family is concerned.
Hannah’s aunt, Geordan Montalvo, also tried reaching her due to worries. Montalvo shared that Hannah’s phone was connected at LAX at 4 PM, but then it went dead, and they lost communication.
A friend of Hannah’s spoke out, revealing he received a message from her. In it, Hannah shared that she had been tricked by someone she loved and had given them all her money.
Concerns grew when a Facebook group named Help Us Find Hannah reported that she appeared with someone on security footage near Pico Boulevard and Hill Street in downtown Los Angeles, according to NBC News.
As per her family, the last known location of Hannah was LAX on November 11. The Los Angeles Police Department received a missing person report. As of November 19, the police stated there were no updates available on the case.
