Mizzou Gymnastics Senior Elise Tisler’s Farewell: Reflections on a Sport That Shaped Her and a Team That Celebrated Her

Missouri Tigers gymnastics senior Elise Tisler has shared her final reflections on the sport that shaped her career and the team that celebrated her journey through five seasons in Columbia.

Tisler, a redshirt senior from Fairfax Station, Virginia, competed for the Tigers after transferring from Towson and completing her eligibility in the 2025 season. Her collegiate career included appearances in floor exercise and vault events, with notable performances against top-tier opponents.

During the 2025 season, Tisler achieved a season-best score of 9.925 on floor exercise in Missouri’s meet against No. 12 Georgia on February 21, 2025. This performance contributed to the team’s efforts that season and marked one of her highest scores in competition.

Her consistency on floor was evident throughout the 2025 campaign, as she posted a score of 9.875 in eight of her 11 floor routines that season. This reliability helped support Missouri’s lineup during meets against ranked opponents including Auburn and Georgia.

Tisler’s contributions extended beyond individual scores, as she was part of the team effort that helped Missouri achieve the highest floor score in program history — 49.725 — recorded at the “Zou to the Lou” meet. This team accomplishment highlighted the collective strength of the Tigers’ floor exercise lineup during her tenure.

Individually, Tisler earned recognition for her performances, including being ranked No. 78 nationally in floor exercise NQS (National Qualifying Score) with a mark of 9.880 during the 2025 season. This ranking reflected her consistency and performance level among gymnasts nationwide.

Her athletic journey at Missouri began with her first appearance for the Tigers at the Denver Quad, where she scored 9.875 on floor exercise. This marked the start of her contributions to the team after transferring from Towson, where she had previously competed before joining the Missouri program.
