MJF Acknowledges Rising Talent & Changing Dynamics Within AEW
MJF, known for his outspoken nature and self-assuredness, recently offered a candid assessment of the evolving atmosphere within All Elite Wrestling (AEW). While maintaining his claim as AEW’s top star,MJF acknowledged the contributions of several roster members to the company’s recent momentum, particularly following the success of All In Texas.
A Shift in the AEW Locker Room: MJF Gives Credit Where It’s Due
For years, MJF has positioned himself as the driving force behind AEW’s success, and he wasn’t about to fully relinquish that narrative. However, during a recent appearance, he conceded that the overall quality of the AEW roster has demonstrably improved, lessening the burden he felt carrying the company on his shoulders.
“I’d love to take all the credit for all In Texas, and the upswing in AEW’s momentum,” MJF stated. “But I have to give credit where credit is due.Specific members of the AEW roster have stepped up, elevating not just the main event scene, but the midcard as well.”
He highlighted a core group of performers who have consistently delivered strong performances and drawn critically important audience interest. This includes Swerve Strickland,Will Ospreay,Hangman page, and Jon moxley. MJF also pointed to the rising stars and consistent performers like Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, and the entire Hurt Syndicate (of which he is a member) as crucial components of AEW’s success. He didn’t stop there, adding Adam Cole and Daniel Garcia to the list of those consistently contributing to the show’s quality.
“For six years, I’ve been number one, with a bullet - the most consistent, highest drawing, minute-for-minute ratings draw we have,” MJF asserted. “There were times I felt like I was pulling seven gigantic airplanes simultaneously occurring, all by myself. Now, more than ever, while I don’t like any of these people, we have a strong collective.”
All In texas & The Casino Gauntlet Match
this acknowledgment comes as MJF prepares to compete in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In Texas. As the number two entrant, he has a unique opportunity – and a potential advantage. The winner of the Gauntlet earns a guaranteed shot at the AEW World Championship, with the freedom to choose when they challenge.
The match already features confirmed entrants mark Briscoe and Mistico, with up to 18 more potential competitors. However, the Casino Gauntlet’s unpredictable nature means the match can end at any time. This creates a scenario where MJF could theoretically win within the first few seconds, immediately securing his championship opportunity.
The stakes are high, and the competition will be fierce. But with MJF recognizing the increased talent level within AEW, it’s clear the landscape of the company is shifting.Whether he’ll continue to dominate as the sole star, or share the spotlight with a rising generation of talent, remains to be seen. One thing is certain: the future of AEW is looking brighter than ever.
