Mober Launches Electric Truck Fleet in Thailand

Logistics technology⁢ firm Mober has begun electric​ truck ‌ operations in Thailand, deploying an initial fleet of 21 vehicles‌ primarily for IKEA deliveries. The company also ⁤announced the opening of a charging hub⁣ too support it’s growing presence‌ in the region.

The ‌Thailand‍ launch,‌ which occurred Oct. 1, 2023, represents a critically important step in ​Mober’s expansion strategy. The company aims to capitalize on the ⁢increasing demand for efficient delivery services, ⁢driven by a surge in e-commerce activity.

Mober’s Thailand facility includes a 1,600-square-meter charging hub in ⁢the⁤ Bang Na district, equipped with fast chargers.In the Philippines,Mober opened a 3,000-square-meter EV charging ‌hub in Pasay and acquired ⁣an electric truck for local delivery,with⁤ plans for a larger fleet.

To support its clean energy initiatives,mober secured $6 million ‌in investment from SEACEF II and is actively seeking additional⁢ funding​ to further expand its electric vehicle fleet.

“Mober’s entry into Thailand is not just about logistics; it’s about⁢ revolutionizing how ⁣goods are delivered,” ⁢said John Tan, Mober’s⁤ CEO. “As e-commerce continues to thrive,our aim is to ensure⁢ that every product reaches its ⁤destination quickly and efficiently.”
