Mobile Rapid Assessment of Typhoon Usagi will be issued on the morning of the 14th from the 15th to the 17th.
Typhoon “Lepas” is moving towards Taiwan. The Central Meteorological Administration predicts it will enter the Bashi Channel on November 14 and be closest to Taiwan from November 15 to 17. At 2 AM today, “Lepas” was located 1,200 km southeast of Iluanbi, traveling northwest at 27 km/h.
Wind strength will increase to levels 5 and 6 in the Bashi Channel, with maximum gusts up to level 8. Coastal wave heights are expected to rise to 2 to 2.5 meters. Light rain is possible in eastern Taiwan, while the northern, southern, and central hilly areas will be cloudy.
As “Lepas” approaches Taiwan, it may become moderate to strong. A marine warning could be issued, but a land warning remains uncertain.
Additionally, Typhoon “Likio” is currently near Dongsha Island and is moving toward Guangdong and Hainan Islands. Its strength is gradually weakening. The Meteorological Administration continues to monitor the weather in Taiwan closely.
