CALI, Colombia (AP) — Antonio ‍Picros, a relative of Lyan José Hortúa, who was⁢ recently kidnapped and released, was murdered May 21 at the Roma Cafeteria in the​ Brittany neighborhood of Cali. Security cameras and citizen recordings ​captured the⁤ aftermath of the shooting.

⁣ Sources suggest the kidnapping of ​the child is linked to a ​history of drug trafficking and violence.

⁤ The 11-year-old ‌boy, who will turn 12 on May 29, was released wednesday afternoon⁢ after 18 days in ⁤captivity.
