Montréal-Nord Lifts Boil-Water Advisory: Safe Drinking Water Restored
Montréal Lifts Boil-Water Advisory
Montréal has ended the boil-water advisory in Montréal-Nord borough. This advisory was put in place on November 27 due to reduced water pressure.
Recent water tests confirm that conditions have returned to normal. The drinking water quality now meets all regulatory standards. Residents no longer need to boil water before using it.
Precautions for Residents:
- Turn on cold water taps and let the water run for a few minutes before use.
- Do the same with all outdoor taps, hoses, and drinking fountains.
- Empty, wash, and disinfect coffee machines and ice-making machines.
- Change filters in water treatment systems, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Hot water tanks do not need to be emptied.
