Morgan Wallen‘s song “Last Night” won Song of the Year at the 72nd annual BMI Country Awards. The event took place at BMI’s headquarters in Nashville. “Last Night” is recognized as BMI’s most played song of the year and was co-written by John Byron and Charlie Handsome.

Chase McGill and Zach Bryan received the Songwriter of the Year award, both co-writing six top BMI songs.
