Moroccan international Abdelaziz Berrada dies at the age of 35
Former Morocco international midfielder Abdelaziz Berrada has died aged 35 after suffering a heart attack, the Moroccan national team’s account announced on Thursday.
Berrada started his career with French club Paris Saint-Germain and moved between several clubs, including Marseille, and also defended the colors of Emirati sides Al-Nasr and Al-Jazeera.
Marseille has revealed, through its account on the X platform, that it has mourned the death of its former Moroccan international Abdelaziz Berrada.
Paris Saint-Germain posted on the same platform, “It is with great sadness that Paris Saint-Germain has learned of the death of Moroccan international player Abdelaziz Berrada, who was the founder of Paris Saint-Germain to his family and loved ones. Germain extends its sincere condolences.”
Berrada was born in France, trained at Saint-Germain and began his professional career with Getafe in Spain. He spent most of his career in the Gulf, except for two seasons spent at Marseille.
The talented attacking midfielder wore the Moroccan national team shirt 28 times, during which time he scored 4 goals.
