Morocco,Egypt Seek Enhanced Political,Economic Cooperation
Morocco and Egypt have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across political,economic,and cultural sectors. This initiative aims to elevate bilateral relations to meet the ambitions of both nations’ leaders.
The declaration followed a meeting between Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Burita and his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Ati, who delivered a message from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to King Mohammed VI of Morocco. the discussions centered on enhancing existing cooperation mechanisms and fostering deeper consultation on matters of mutual interest.
Burita emphasized the historical foundation of the relationship and the importance of activating joint mechanisms to improve ties. He highlighted the potential for a joint committee to coordinate governmental efforts, operating under the umbrella of a supreme committee led by both countries’ leaders. This committee would oversee cooperation initiatives and refine political dialog.

“Relations between the two countries are based on solid historical foundations and enjoys special sponsorship of the leaders of the two countries…stressing the importance of activating the existing cooperation and consultation mechanisms between the two countries to improve relations to the level of common ambition,” Burita said.
